Abstract:A new cup-drawing process of BT20 titanium alloy was studied. Tensile tests were carried out at room temperature, and then cup-drawing experiments were carried out with conical female die at high temperatures. The results show that the plasticity of BT20 titanium alloy is bad, σs/σb is big, n is small, so it is not suitable for BT20 titanium alloy which draws at room temperature, even if the drawing ratio is very small. As a drawing process without blank holder, cup-drawing with conical female die has many advantages, and is suitable for alloys with bad plasticity drawing at high temperatures. Finally proper technological conditions were gained.
